Swansea's Tate breaks leg in golf buggy crash

Swansea defender Alan Tate will miss several months of the Premier League campaign after breaking his leg in a golf buggy accident.
Tate was a passenger in a golf buggy at a south Wales club on Sunday when the vehicle lost control and he suffered the leg injury in the subsequent crash.
The 28-year-old former Manchester United trainee was diagnosed with a broken tibia of his left leg after being taken to Morriston Hospital by ambulance.
"Swansea City have been dealt a bitter blow with news that defender Alan Tate has broken his leg in a bizarre golfing accident," a statement on the club's website confirmed.
Long-serving Tate, who was a substitute for Saturday's 0-0 draw against Sunderland, has spent 10 years with Swansea and has played in all four divisions with the club.
