New coach convinced Indonesia will beat Turkmenistan

Newly appointed Dutch coach Wim Rijsbergen said that he is convinced the Indonesian soccer team is capable of defeating the Turkmenistan team at the upcoming World Cup qualification match, despite an apparent lack of preparation.
“I’ve only seen the team twice since my arrival. But I must admit that they have shown significant progress in every training session.
Therefore, without a doubt, I am optimist that the Garuda squad will be able to beat the Turkmenistan national soccer team next week,”Rijsbergen said on Saturday, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Rijsbergen was appointed to replace Austrian coach Alfred Riedl, who had been dismissed by the new PSSI chief over what Riedl said was due to be his persistent refusal to invite local footballers who had participated in the Indonesian Premiere soccer league.
The Indonesian soccer team is first set to face Turkmenistan on July 23. The second match will be held at Senayan Stadium one week later.
